What is a fragrance decant?
A decant is a smaller amount of perfume transferred from a full-size bottle into a travel atomizer. It lets you wear a fragrance for days before deciding whether to buy the full bottle.
Are your fragrances authentic?
Yes. Every decant is filled from a full-size bottle of the original fragrance.
How many sprays are in each size?
As a general guide, a 2ml vial holds about 30 sprays, 5ml about 75 sprays and 10ml about 150 sprays. The exact count depends on the atomizer.
Which size should I choose?
Choose 2ml to test a scent you have never worn, 5ml to get to know a fragrance over a few weeks, and 10ml for a favorite you want to carry every day. Our size guide has more detail.
How long does shipping take?
Processing times, shipping methods and rates are listed on our Shipping Policy page.
Can I return a decant?
Because decants are filled to order from opened bottles, returns are handled case by case. See our Refund Policy for details, or contact us if something arrived damaged.
Can you recommend a fragrance?
Of course. Send us a message with a few scents you already like, and we will suggest some to try.
What is the difference between a decant and a sample?
Free samples are usually tiny dab vials of around 1ml or less. A decant is a larger amount, typically 2ml to 10ml, filled from a full-size bottle into a spray atomizer, so you can wear the fragrance the way it was designed to be worn.
Does a decant smell the same as the full bottle?
Yes. A decant is the same fragrance transferred from the full-size bottle into a smaller vial, so it should smell the same as the original.
How long does a decant last?
It depends on how many sprays you use. At two or three sprays a day, a 2ml vial lasts around one to two weeks, a 5ml vial lasts several weeks and a 10ml vial can last a couple of months.
What is the difference between EDT, EDP and parfum?
These labels describe how concentrated a fragrance is. Eau de toilette (EDT) is lighter, eau de parfum (EDP) is stronger and longer lasting, and parfum or extrait is the most concentrated. You can read more about perfume concentration on Wikipedia.
How should I store my decants?
Keep decants upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. A drawer or a closed box works well. Avoid leaving them in a hot car or a steamy bathroom.
Can I travel with fragrance decants?
Yes. Small vials are one of the easiest ways to travel with fragrance. A 10ml decant is well under the 3.4oz (100ml) limit for liquids in carry-on bags in the United States.
Are decants a good gift?
A small set of decants makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys fragrance. It lets them explore several scents and find a favorite before buying a full bottle. Browse the full collection to build a set.
